Refund Policy

Refund policy

Legal Lok is committed to providing quality services to our clients. Our refund policy is designed to be fair and transparent. Please read the following guidelines to understand the scenarios in which refunds may be applicable:

1. Litigation Funding and Litigation Management

   - Refunds are not applicable to litigation funding and litigation management services.

   - Legal Lok acts as a consultancy firm in these cases and does not charge upfront fees.

2. RTI Services (Application, Appeal, 2nd Appeal)

   - Refunds may be requested (or initiated by Legal Lok) if any of the following scenarios occur:

     - The services suffer from an inability to perform under the doctrine of frustration. Examples include attempting to file an RTI on a private body, filing a single RTI meant for multiple authorities, or submitting an appeal either too early (before 30 days) or too late (after 90 days).

     - The client requests a refund within specific timeframes:

       - RTI Application: Within 6 hours of making the payment.

       - RTI Appeal or 2nd Appeal: Within 12 hours of making the payment.

   - Refunds will not be applicable if the refund request is made after the specified timeframes.

3. Other Services (Inspection, In-Person Hearings)

   - For services such as document inspection or in-person hearings, payments are made directly to the involved lawyer or expert.

   - Refunds for these services will be subject to the policies and terms of the respective lawyers or experts providing the service.

Please note that Legal Lok reserves the right to make a final decision on refund requests based on the specific circumstances of each case. We are committed to ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service, and we will work diligently to address any issues that may arise.
